On July 4 Mikalai Autukhovich and Iury Liavonau gave their final speech in Hrodna Kastrychnitski Borough Court. The state prosecutor demanded to sentence the former to 42 months, and the latter to 41 months of imprisonment. The verdict will be announced on July 6.
The prosecutor claimed that Autukhovich with the help of Liavonau evaded tax payments and carried out transportation of people and baggage without any license.
Autukhovich appealed to the presidents decree #17 of 2003, under which he had a right, not an obligation to create a firm. So he is tried for the firm that he has not created. He, as an entrepreneur, had a license and paid taxes.
The prosecutor thinks that the defendants are to pay over a BYR billion of damage to the state.
