While distributing the newspaper Narodnaia Volia, in Mahiliou, the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka and his assistant Ihar Shynkaryk were detained by the police. Anatol Liabedzka managed to inform the press service of the United Civil Party that he had presented a passport to policemen before detention.
Mr Liabedzka was heading to Mahiliou to a meeting with a political prisoner Artur Finkevich, who is serving the sentence in one of the special detention facilities of Mahiliou. However, policemen transported Artur to an unknown location. His mobile phone is not responding.
