KGB Invites Young Activists for “Conversations”
On September 26 Pavel Krauchanka, member of BPF youth received a phone call from a stranger who introduced himself as a KGB officer. He invited Pavel invited to come to KGB office for a conversation.
“A phone call to our member is an evidence of the beginning of active monitoring of our activity by KGB, -- comments Ales Kalita, chair of BPF youth. Such anonymous phone calls give us grounds to believe that KGB is trying to test the waters and find some informers inside our organization. I would like to announce that we will consider any pressure on BPF youth by KGB as infringement of freedom and personal immunity of our members. If this repeats, we promise to launch a campaign of pressure on KGB by informing the population of the country about thoughtless and, sometimes, illegal actions of the KGB. We will raise this issue not only on the national but also on the international level”.
