In the morning of 7 October Mr Buinitski was going to Lenin Square in order to listen to the opening speech at the official feast Dazhynki that was to be read by A.Lukashenka. According to RFE/RL, when he approached the square some people plain clothes came to him. Without introducing themselves they proposed that he came with them to a police station for ‘identification’. They took Maksim Buinitski to police department #1 of Babruisk City Executive Committee and then – to the inter-district department of criminalistic expertise in order to take his fingerprints, which was completely illegal. They also photographed the activist. In three hours after the detention they let him go.
