Sviatlana Matskevich is wife of political scientist Uladzimir Matskevich, who joined the New Life Church believers in their hunger-strike. Maskouski court of Minsk fined her 155 thousand BYR (around 70 USD). She was found guilty of disobedience to police officers.
We have informed earlier that the families of the hunger-strikers tried to get Mikhail Paulau, Minsk mayor, to receive them in his office. They wanted to find out when the problem with the building belonging to the Church, would be solved. The security guards aggressively pushed the people out of the building. Wife of political scientist Uladzimir Matskevich was detained by police only because she asked them to introduce themselves and show their police signs.
