UPB Chair Interrogated at Inquest Department of Hrodna Regional Customs Office
On 2 November the chair of the Union of Poles in Belarus Anzhalika Borys was summonsed for an interrogation concerning the criminal case on drugs smuggling that was brought on 31 October. A.Borys is the chair of one of the two Unions Poles that appeared after the organization was split in two with participation of the Belarusian authorities. The one chaired by Anzhalika Borys is not recognized by the authorities. In addition, the state officials have already created many obstacles to the activity of this organization. Anzhalika Borys was interrogated in the capacity of witness. She stated that the drugs were planted to the car on which they returned from Vilnius and that it was a provocation against her as the chair of the UPB.
It is worth mentioning that after the detention of A.Borys, A.Lisouski and T.Selivonchyk were subject to forcible blood expertise. No drugs were found in it. On 1 November Andzhei Lisouski was declared a suspect in drugs smuggling. The police interrogated him and searched his flat, but found nothing.
