On 12 December the judge of Minsk Tsentralny borough court Aliaksei Bychko considered the administrative case against the chair of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka. Mr Liabedzka was detained during the dispersal of the peaceful action of solidarity with Aliaksandr Kazulin and other political prisoners that was conducted on 10 December, the Universal Day of Human Rights.
At the beginning of the trial the politician solicited for challenge of the judge, but it wasn’t satisfied. At the trial the police witnesses gave confused testimonies. Other policemen acted as witnesses instead of those who detained him. As a result the judge sent the case back to the police department for a review.
