Babruiski Kuryier Is Ordered to Create Unit of Belarusian Republican Association of Water Rescue

The editorial office of Babruiski kuryier newspaper received a note signed by the chair of Babruisk city executive committee Dzmitry Bokhanau. There the editorial office is ordered to register a primary organization of the republican water rescue association. All staff members must join it. According to the note, till 1 May the editorial office must make an informational stand about it, raise 1 000 rubles fee from each member and report to the ideology department of the executive committee.

It’s necessary to specify that such orders have been sent to all subjects of economy in Babruisk.

‘All we can do is publishing informational materials on behalf of the water rescue association from time to time’, says the acting editor of the newspaper Anatol Sanatsenka. ‘Forcible establishment of such association is illegal’. According to the Belarusian legislation the Belarusian association of water rescue possesses the status of a state NGO. Accordingly, the method of its establishment is ‘on free will with forcing’.
