Hrodna police detained Ihar Bantsar – journalist of a Polish-language Magazyn Polski na Uchodzstwie. He is kept in Hrodna Leninski police department temporary detention center. The policemen charged him with “disorderly conduct”, RFE/RL reports.
Andrei Pachobut, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, points out that Ihar Bantsar is a reporter, not a civic activist. He does not exclude the possibility that Bantsar drew the attention of the local policemen with publications in the last issues of the magazine. Ihar Bantsar published a series of critical articles about the activities of the pro-governmental Union of Poles
