Mahiliou City Executive Committee Refuses to Authorize Procession and Meeting in Honor of 89th Anniversary of Belarusian People’s Republic

In the answer signed by the chair of Mahiliou CEC Fiodar Mikheienka it is said: ‘Due to the fact that the day of declaration of Belarusian People’s Republic doesn’t belong to the state holidays and memorable dates of the Republic of Belarus and the present Belarusian society has quite polar attitude to the history of this state formation, we consider it inexpedient to authorize the demonstration and process that are dedicated to this date’.
The application for authorization of the public actions was signed by the deputy of Mahiliou city deputy soviet Aliaksandr Aheieu, the head of Mahiliou regional office of the BPF Party Ryhor Kostuseu, the head of Mahiliou regional office of the United Civil Party Uladzimir Shantsau, the chair of Mahiliou regional office of Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) Iury Novikau and other persons.
