Aliaksei Shydlouski Sentenced to 5 Days of Jail

Human rights activist Iryna Toustsik told Viasna, Partyzanski court of Minsk sentenced youth activist Aliaksei Shydlouski to 5 days of arrest. The trial went according to the usual scenario: two policemen, who detained the activist and drew up the report, testified as witnesses. In order not to get lost in their statements, they answered only the questions about which they had previously agreed. If the question was about the things they had not discussed, they both answered: “We don’t remember”. The wife of Aliaksei Shydlouski was present during his detention. However, Judge Yury M. Lebedz, did not take her evidence into account.
