Christians Collect Signatures for amendment of Law on Freedom of Conscience

Believers of all Christian denominations take part in the campaign of collecting signatures for amendment of the law On freedom of conscience and religious organizations. Christians are collecting signatures in their communities, other churches, on the streets; they also go to the neighbor cities.

According to the words of participants, the majority of Christians and even non-believers willingly sign the appeal to the Constitutional Court and other state institutions requesting 'to adjust main regulations of the law on freedom of conscience and religious organizations in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and with the rules of the international law'.

Together with collecting signatures Christians actively enlighten the society through spreading the information on violations of believers' rights. The participants of the campaign say that when they give real examples of the infringements of rights it becomes clear to people that it is necessary to stand up for the freedom of conscience.
