According to the press-service of New Life Church
Coordinating center of the campaign for protection of the right to freedom of conscience has received the following information. A participant of the press conference 'Protection of the rights of freedom of conscience' Aliaksandr Shramko, the priest of the Holy-Intercession Orthodox church in Minsk was invited to the office of the Commissioner on religions and nationalities affairs.
Aliaksandr Kalinau, the head of the Department was trying to convince the priest Aliaksandr that the Law On freedom of conscience and religious
organizations' agreed with the Constitution and didn't put obstacles in the way of Orthodox believers or believers of other denominations in their authorized
activities, but priest Aliaksandr still keeps to his opinion that was expressed on the press conference on 25 April. 'I believe that this Law puts limits to one of the main human rights and needs to be changed. It is wrong when some people are free to gather in houses and do what they enjoy doing and Christians are not allowed to gather in houses to pray to God,' he said.
