Brest: One of Leaders of Brest Office of Party of Communists of Belarus Detained by Police

On 9 May the second secretary of Brest PCB office Uladzimir Mikhailau took part in the festive actions in Brest fortress, dedicated to the victory over Nazism. In his hand he held a red flag and several leaflets, including the bulletin of the independent trade union of radio electronic industry. Then he saw several youngsters with red flags in the fortress and gave to them some leaflets. Then two riot policemen appeared. They detained him and took to Leninski police department of Brest. There they composed a report for violation of article 29/9 of the Administrative Code.

It is quite interesting that they also called there a worker of the ideological department of the local executive committee, who also composed some obscure paper… Now Uladzimir Mikhailau waits to be summonsed to the administrative commission for paying a fine.
