Opposition Gets No Premises for Congress of Democratic Forces

The Palace of Culture of Minsk automobile plant denied oppositionists premises for holding the Congress of democratic forces planned for 26-27 May. The denial was received by one of the applicants for holding the event, the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka.
As said in the answer, the Palace of culture of Minsk automobile plant and the public association ‘Belarusian association of assistance to disabled children’ had an agreement that on 26 May, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. a festival of creative work of children and young people would be held in the palace.
Earlier the event organizers had sent letters with an appeal to give premises for holding the Congress of democratic forces to 3 organizations which have conditions for holding the congress: the Palace of Republic, a concert hall Minsk and the Palace of culture of Minsk automobile plant.
