Leaders of BPF Party, human rights defenders, and friends met Ales Kalita near the prison gates. Ales has visibly lost some weight, but is full of energy. He says that he has no time for leisure after his release: “I just need a good shower and am ready to work again”.
Ales Kalita was detained on July 3rd, near the office of BPF Party and sentenced to 15 days of arrest. He only tried to defend a girl, member of BPF Youth council Nasta Aleksandrovich from defenders of the regime dressed in civil clothes. He was charged under Article 17.1 of the Administrative Code (disorderly conduct).
BPF Party member Paval Seradzenka was arrested together with Ales and sentenced to 10 days of jail.
