‘Even solving important energy problems we should not forget the human rights’, - Alexandr Vondra, Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic declared, speaking on the international conference ‘Responsible Energy for Responsible Partners’ in Vilnius 11 October.
A.Vondra reminded that in November 2006 the European Commission put in the document ‘What the European Union can give Belarus’. ‘There were posed the very concrete 12 proposals to the authoritarian regime for Belarus’s full participation in the European Neighborhood Policy’, - A.Vondra said. – ‘A year has passed, the proposals are not implemented, but Lukashenka is playing his energy card to go round these 12 proposals. It’s worth of concern, that the EU begins to take up the opportunities of cooperation’, - BelaPAN informs.
