The world already knows the torturing of political prisoner Klimau (a deputy of the disbanded Belarusian parliament). But the administration of correction facility #20 of the Department of correction is convinced of their impunity, and continues torturing the sick man.
On 7 and 8 November Ala Klimava, Andrei’s mother, received two letters. From them she found out that the guards of Mozyr prison returned the foodstuffs only in several weeks.
However, the torture is not limited by seizure of products only. The prisoner wasn’t given money from his account, both the money sent to his account five days before his leaving Valadarski street detention facility in Minsk, and the money sent to Mozyr jail.
16 days have passed on 8 November and electronic money was not transferred to the prisoner’s account. According to the norms of Communication Ministry, the money is to be received in a few hours. One could assume that Mozyr prison workers use money of prisoners in a criminal business.
There is no other possible reason of not crediting funds to the account of the prisoner. By not crediting the funds, workers of the colony deprived the political prisoner Klimau a chance to buy food in the prison shop. And imprisoned cannot go to shop every day. They have a chance to buy something once a month. But the administration of the facility can deprive of this opportunity as a punishment.
