Yaraslau Hryshchenia not allowed to go abroad
The name of another citizen of Belarus officially blacklisted from going abroad on political reasons has become known. He is a Young Front member Yaraslau Hryshchenya, head of Baranavichy branch of the Young Front.
One of these days Yaraslau received a report that he is prohibited to leave the country. No explanations have been given to him. “It’s simply an isolation of representatives of Belarusian opposition,” Yaraslau said.
According to the activist, he has already had to cancel several important meetings. He is going to submit a complaint and try to find out the reasons for the ban. “They have no legal grounds, I have paid all the fines, and the process on the criminal case is over for a long time already”.
In the first days of the New Year the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka received the same ruling with the official statement that he is prohibited to go abroad. Last Thursday a public activist and independent journalist Barys Haretski was taken off the train when he was on his way to Kyiv where he planned to take part in a seminar on internet-journalism.
