On 9 March the Central council of the underground organization Young Front gathered in the Serabranka suburb of Minsk, at the office of the Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions.

Riot police burst into the office at about 1.30 p.m. All, in all, they detained 32 persons, including such prominent youth leaders as Zmitser Dashkevich, Artur Finkevich, Zmitser Khvedaruk and Nasta Palazhanka. Pavel Seviarynets was also present at the meeting, but managed to escape arrest.

The detainees were guarded to Leninski district police department of Minsk. The police put down their passport data and then released all but Artsiom Dubski. No violation reports were drawn against the detainees. Instead, Artsiom, who is a suspect in a criminal case brought under article 342 of the Criminal Code (organization or active participation in the actions that grossly violate the public order), was directed for an interrogation. In the evening he was released as well.
