Regional police look for potential participants of Chernobyl March
Babruisk pro-democratic activist and human rights defender Ihar Khotska reports, yesterday the police came to his house, but he was not home. Today two police officers visited him again, and asked if he was going to take part in Chernobyl March in Minsk. They held some papers with pictures. In one of the pictures Khodzka recognized his colleague Ales Chyhir, a school teacher who was fired for his political views. The policemen asked Khodzka to sign a report but did not allow him to read it. Khotska refused to put his signature.
The authorities keep the tradition of preventing pro-democratic activists from the region from participation in a sanctioned rally.
