Soldier beaten up to death in Belarusian army

The Minsk interpost military procuracy instituted a criminal case on a soldier’s death in the army.

As Interfax has learnt from the procuracy, ‘a criminal case on death of the soldier was instituted on part 1 of Article 145 (incitement to suicide or attempt of suicide by cruelty to injured person or systematic abasement of personal dignity) of the Criminal Code of Belarus’.

‘The case is investigated, the details are being cleared out’, a source told to the agency, refusing to tell the details of the case.

It’s not reported in what service arm and in what military unit the soldier served. It should be reminded it is not the first time when a soldier dies in the army. As it has recently become known, Vadzim Yushko, soldier of the elite brigade of landing forces, died from beating. According to the official version of the procuracy check, his death was caused by a disease, ‘he got during his service’, but the parents of the soldier said their son had died after beating up by his comrades-in-arms.
