Salihorsk: five opposition activists are offered to give explanations on Minsk blast
5 Salihorsk opposition activists received telephone calls from police. They were asked to explain where they were on 4 July in the night and whether any of them visited Minsk.
‘On Monday at about midnight a senior lieutenant of Salihorsk police Salavei called me, my brother Illia, Khrystsina Samoilava, Ryhor Astapenia and Aliaksei Valabuyeu. He insisted on us to come to the police department on Tuesday and give written explanations about our whereabouts on 3 and 4 July, and whether any of us visited Minsk,’ Nasha Niva was told by Ivan Shyla.
The guy says that no one of them was in Minsk then. Young people were either in Salihorsk or abroad.
As informed by the press-service of the For Freedom movement, a search was held in the apartment of Pinsk activist Pavel Liakhnovich. Policemen and prosecutor’s office workers from Minsk informed that the search was held in connection with a criminal case brought up after the blast on 4 July. Gunpowder was confiscated from Liakhnovich’s apartment. Liakhnovich is an amateur hunter.
