Mahiliou: members of district electoral commission #87 did not collect members for their nomination

The member of the republican human rights organization Belarusian Helsinki Committee held an independent investigation and concluded that members of district electoral commission #87 were nominated by collection of signatures without collecting such signatures at all. She paid visits to the places where the commission members had allegedly collected signatures for their nomination to the commission.

‘In Lunnaya Street, 14 the man, whose woman had allegedly signed for nomination of Sviatlana Hanina to the electoral commission said that nobody had come to their apartment for the signature and his wife could possibly give a signature at work, at secondary school #44 where she was working. In Tsianistaya Street the daughter of a woman working in the same school also said that nobody had come to them to take signatures and most probably her mother had signed at work. In other houses the activist was told that nobody had come to them to collect any signatures’ said Samakhvalava.

Bear in mind that the civil activist started suspecting that members of district electoral commission #87 had not collected signatures for their nomination after Liudmila Makaranka, the main specialist of the personnel department, had shown to her the signature lists where all but the signatures was filled with one handwriting. Natalllia Samakhvalava remembered the name of one of the commission’s members, Sviatlana Hanina, and several addresses of those who had allegedly signed in her support.
