The editor-in-chief of Rechytsa regional newspaper Dniaprovets offered a candidate for deputy Leanid Nevar to rework his election speech prepared for publication in a newspaper.
As the BelaPAN was told by L.Nevar, the editor didn’t like the phrases ‘the officials of regional and district levels lie to people’ and ‘corruption has become an integral part of life’.
‘I can prove my words by documents in court. It is not a secret for anybody how many corruption crimes are taking place here,’ Mr. Nevar said.
The chief editor of Dniaprovets Ihar Siarheyeu noted in an interview to the BelaPAN that the legality of such statements of the candidate for deputy should be decided by the CEC, and he keeps to the Electoral Code and its norms.
