Navapolatsk:: opposition activists unlawfully kept at sobering station all night
The chairman of Navapolatsk branch of BPF Youth (youth wing of the BPF Party) Mikhas Novikau and a member of the organization Andrus Halavyryn had to sped a night in a sobering station.
As we have informed, the young activists were detained yesterday evening in Navapolatsk near the Plastsilin club.
The young men left the club after a rock concert and were suddenly detained by policemen. Several stickers were found in their belongings, which cannot be a cause of administrative prosecution as such.
As the local human rights activists inform, despite of the fact that the young men were absolutely sober, they were taken to the sobering station, and they were kept there the whole night.
Today at 8.30 a.m. they were taken to Navapolatsk city police department. Now they are interrogated about the stickers. It is still unknown whether a report was drawn up against them.
