Homel: Kanstantsin Zhukouski is warned for cooperation with ‘BelSat’

Kanstantsin Zhukouski, activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party, has received a letter from the prosecutor’s office of Vetka district. He is warned about unacceptability of cooperation with the Polish TV channel Belsat.

As the BelaPAN has been informed by K.Zhukouski, there it is stated in the letter that the prosecutor’s office carried out an inspection upon an application of the chairman of the oblast council of deputies Yauhen Chavankou. The activist is accused of violation of the law by providing materials to a foreign mass media not accredited by the Foreign Ministry of Belarus. In case facts of cooperation with this channel would be registered again, Mr. Zhukouski is to be brought to responsibility.

‘I ran to the ‘parliament’ in this constituency, so I was really making some video footage for myself. I am a citizen of Belarus, so I do have a right to give the information to any channel, be it BT, CNN of RTR,’ commented the activist.
