The Foreign Ministry of Slovakia condemns arrests of civil activists in Minsk on 10 December.
According to the official statement of Slovakian foreign ministry, these measures complicate development of cooperation between the EU and Belarus, as long as they contradict international commitments of the country, Radio Slovakia International informs.
For participation in rallies on Human Rights Day in Minsk more than 20 persons were detained, including the well-known human rights activists, the vice president of the International Federation of Human Rights Ales Bialiatski, human rights activist Uladzimir Labkovich, Aleh Matskevich, Maryna Statkevich and Siarhei Sys.
