As it follows from the letter that has been received by a resident of Minsk Liudmila Kuchura from Stanislau Buko, the head of the main department of the presidential administration on work with applications of citizens and legal entities, on the errand of the president the Supreme Court and the Prosecutor General considered the address of the citizens who disagree with the court verdicts issued on the criminal and administrative cases against their relatives.

S.Buko informs that ‘after all-sided study the competent organs reached the common conclusion about ‘absence of reasons’ for appealing against the abovementioned verdicts. The president of the Republic of Belarus put the personal responsibility for lawfulness and validity of the verdicts on these cases on the head of the Supreme Court and the Prosecutor General,’ reads the letter.

As stated by L.Kuchura, tens of women from different parts of the country who disagree with the court verdicts on the civil cases against themselves and the criminal cases against their relatives have addressed the head of the state 13 times during the last two years. It is the first answer they have received so far, but there it is stated only that their address has been considered. Liudmila Kuchur called the answer of the Supreme Court a runadound, as long as the check-up of our complaints was entrusted to the Supreme Court and the Office of the Prosecutor General – the institutions that falsified our cases, about which we complain in our address.’ At the same time, Liudmila expressed her hope that a public commission for review of these cases would be established and the president will have a personal meeting with the women.

In her interview with the BelaPAn the lawyer Tamara Siarhei pointed that from S.Buko’s letter it follows that the head of the state has familiarized with the problems that had been described in the women’s address. May be the day will come when the women’s complaints will be considered in essence because the president put the personal responsibility for the lawfulness of the issued verdicts on the administration of the Supreme Court and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
