Minsk authorities send opposition activists to Banhalor Square again
Minsk city executive committee has named Bangalore Square as the place for gathering of the group collecting signatures for amendment of the Electoral Code.
As the website ucpb.org has been told by one of the applicants for holding the event, Aliaksei Kavalets, today he has been told about that by an official of the city executive committee, who said at the same time that applicants for holding the event are invited to Minsk city executive committee tomorrow at 11 a.m. to discuss the details.
According to the initiators of the event, Minsk city executive committee has violated the terms for giving a written answer, required by the law, and they have in fact only one day left to inform the people.
Representatives of the oppositional parties asked city authorities to give them premises for gathering of a group collecting signatures for amendment of the electoral code. Since 1996 all electoral campaigns in Belarus were found undemocratic and not free by the world community. The results of all elections were rigged.
