Arrested for public opinion poll

Activists of Belarusian opposition were detained by policemen when they were holding a poll among passers-by.

A dweller of Baranavichy Aliaksandra Kamarova and her friend, an activist of For Freedom movement were visiting people in their homes and asked: “Is there a crisis in Belarus, and what is your opinion about it?’

Lieutenant Vital Bondzich was in charge of the operation. Activists of the movement were taken to the police department, reports were drawn up against them, and questionnaires were seized. The reason of detention was explained in the following way: ‘They were undermining the constitutional order’, the European Radio for Belarus informs.

Bear in mind that recently Alexander Lukashenka has stated that 'there is no crisis in Belarus', and the Belarusian National Bank stated that it is possible to be called to account for spreading rumors about the instability of the Belarusian financial system.
