Two graves have been dug out in Kurapaty
Criminals dug out two graves. They took human remains from the graves – bones, sculls, cloths, footwear – and left them on the ground, RFE/RL reports.
On 2 April in the evening, an activist of the Conservative Christian Party–BPF found in Kurapaty two holes – one with one-meter sides and the other with sides one meter and 2.5 meters, the both deep enough for one to stand upright.
The criminals left traces, apparently in a hurry. Anton Astapovich, head of the Belarusian Voluntary Society of Memorials of History and Culture Protection, came to the site. He supposed this was done by ‘illegal diggers’, who hoped to find anything valuable.
Viktar Maiseyeu, head of the police department of the Minsk district, and deputy head Mikhail Hryb arrived to the site today morning.
