On 26-27 May policemen and workers of prosecutor’s office from Krupki pulled out the cross near the villages of Vialikiya and Malyia Zhaberychy in Krupki district. The cross was erected in memory of 55 local inhabitants killed by Communists. The surnames of the murdered people were enumerated. The list started with the surname of a commander of anti-Bolshevik resistance Yury Monich. There was also his graphical portrait on the cross.
The investigators took the cross in unknown direction and also questioned the local inhabitants about the persons who had brought and fixed up the monument.
