“Young Front” activists from Lida town pasted information posters “Freedom to Dubski” on Wednesday.

Two people in mufti and militiamen came up to “Young Front” activist Vadzim Barouski in the evening July 29 near the town park, where the activist was spreading information about the political prisoner. The guy was guarded to the district militia department. The youth activist gave explanations there and was freed an hour later,” the website mfront.net reports.

Dozens of portraits of arrested participant of the Process of 14 Artsyom Dubski appeared in the streets.

We remind that on July 7, Artsyom Dubski was sentenced to a year of imprisonment in a minimum security colony for violation of the rules of serving punishment in the Case of 14. The youth leader had to leave fro Ukraine in 2008 because militiamen had given two far-fetched warning to him for violation of the rules of serving punishment. Dubski was detained in Homel on February 13, 2009.

The Case of 14 is a criminal case under article 342 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, instigated against participants of a peaceful rally of entrepreneurs held in Minsk on January 10, 2008.

14 youth activists were sentenced to different terms of restriction of liberty and imprisonment for participation in this rally. Amnesty International recognized participants of the Process of 14 Prisoners of Conscience in 2009.
