The oppositional politicians Alexander Bukhvostau, Viktar Harbachou, Leu Marholin and Vintsuk Viachorka have been searched on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border.
‘On 29 July Alexander Bukhvostau, Vintsuk Viachorka, Leu Marholin and I went to Lithuania by my car. At about 11.00 we approached the border’, said Viktar Harbachou, the leader of the movement For Free Development of Business. ‘They were checking my documents for about an hour. Judging by everything they were phoning to Minsk and protracted the time. As a result, we lost about an hour on the border. The situation repeated on the way back, on 30 July at about 7 p.m. This time we lost about two hours.
