Belarusian Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry and Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions applied to Minsk city executive committee for authorization of a rally on 7 October.
On 2 October the activist of the civil campaign European Belarus Vasil Lemesh was detained near the check-up point of bicycle motor factory while handing leaflets with information about the upcoming action, f-fight.org informs.
Though the rally was authorized by Minsk CEC, Mr. Lemesh was guarded to the police station. He was kept there for an hour and was released without any charges brought against him, as the distribution of the leaflets was completely legal.
