The Former presidential candidate Aliaksandr Kazulin and the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka were detained at the border crossing point Kamenny Loh.
‘We continue facing unlawful actions when crossing the border’, Anatol Liabedzka told in an interview to ucpb.org. It was the third search of the politician for the last day.
‘On 13 October I was searched on my way to Warsaw, where I met with the director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Janez Lenarcic. I was searched on my return trip. I am going to Lithuania now where I am having a number of working meetings. I was searched this time, too. They don’t give any grounds for the searches,’ Liabedzka said.
According to him, his car is thoroughly searched as well. ‘I think it will be easier for me to cross the border by foot or on a bicycle,’ the UCP leader said.
