On 13 October the Chyhunachny district court of Homel tried 7 pro-democratic activists. As BelaPAN informs, on 16 September 16 oppositionists planned to hold a rally of solidarity with the families of the abducted, but were detained by police on their way to the place where the event was held. As a result, the rally hadn’t taken place.
At the session of the court policemen claimed that all the detained marched along the street in an organized column, and held portraits of the missing Viktar Hanchar and Anatol Krasouski. Activists stated that they were not carrying anything, as the rally was to start on Uprising square. Finally, all the oppositionists were fined for violation of the order of holding mass events. Uladzimir Myshak and Maryna Smiahlikava were fined 700 000 Belarusian rubles (about $256), Uladzimir Niapomnyashchykh was fined 875 000 rubles (about $320), Ivan Zayats - 1 050 000 rubles (about $385), Yury Zakharanka, Vasil Paliakou and Aliaksandr Pratsko were fined 1.4 million rubles (about $513) each.
