Minsk oblast executive committee holds seminar-counsel on organizing elections

On 10 February a seminar-counsel on organizing elections to local Soviets of Deputies was held at the Minsk oblast executive committee, with participation of Chairpersons and Secretaries of territorial and constituency election commissions and Chairpersons of the personnel and ideological departments of district and city executive committees of the Minsk oblast.

Before the seminar Lidziya Yarmoshyna, Chairperson of the Central Commission on elections and holding republican referenda, stated to journalists that by the end of the following week such events would take place in all regions of Belarus. Yarmoshyna said that holding such meetings with organizers of elections after forming the main election commissions (territorial and constituency ones) was a usual practice and they were necessary for discussing the most important issues and questions concerning the organization of elections.

’There are no trifles in elections and an electoral campaign is always formed on nuances. It’s necessary to make everything right, because if even a small omission will surely make a negative impact on the whole pace, nature and results of the campaign,’ pointed Lidziya Yarmoshyna in an interview with the BelTA.
