On 10 February, the Baranavichy Council of the Belarusian Language Society filed with Viktar Dzichkouski, Chairman of the Baranavichy city executive committee, a repeated letter informing that all documents necessary for changing the legal address of the local BLS organization had been presented to the CEC more than a month ago, but no answer was received in the legal terms.

As said by Viktar Syrytsa, Chairperson of the Baranavichy BLS Council, since 1999 the organization had a legal address in Mayakouski Street, 7, but short before the elections the juridical department of the Baranavicy CEC stated that organization was deprived of the address and the organization would be deprived of the legal status unless a new legal address was found within a month.

In its repeated letter, the Baranavichy Council of the Belarusian Language Society asks the Baranavichy city executive committee to send to the new legal address the decision on registering the change of the legal address in the register of organizational structures.

Viktar Syrytsa states that the Baranavichy BLS organization is very active in the civil and political life (including elections) and considers it as a possible reason for the deprival of the legal address.
