Babruisk: activists of Belarusian Christian Democracy can withdraw from elections because of pressurization

Natallia Karpava, member of the initiative group of the BCD member Taisiya Kabanchuk and member of a precinct election commission, was warned that she could lose her job at the district library system. This information was passed to the activist by her father, who used to work in the state structures before the retirement.

’Such pressurization of the BCD members goes the limit’, stated Taisiya Kabanchuk. ‘If I learn about another such case, I would gather all Babruisk activists of the BCD and we will withdraw the elections with summoning a press-conference to inform everybody about the reasons, including foreign politicians. Let the Belarusian authorities play their election games on their own.’
