According to information released by the Barysau District Election Commission, 34 seats in the District Council will be claimed by 41 candidates. Still, the data are not final.
Mrs. Tamara Kavazhenka appealed the decision by the Barysau District Election Commission, who refused registration to the candidate. Besides, three UCP members who were registered by the commission are likely to obey the party’s decision and withdraw their applications.
However, it is obvious that the majority of the district’s constituencies will be non-alternative.
