Mahiliou tax inspection interested in candidate’s income

On 22 April, Aliaksandr Irkho, leader of the Belarusian Social-Democratic Party’s (Narodnaya Hramada) Mahiliou organizing committee, who is running for the City Council, received a summons to the local tax inspection.

The candidate says it may be caused by his running in the election and stresses that it is only now, with only a few days ahead of the voting day, when the tax department decided to inspect him, although ho irregularities were found in his income declaration during the registration procedures.
