Aliaksei Valabuyeu’s proxy threatened by observers from Cossacks’ Union

Ivan Shyla, proxy to Aliaksei Valabuyeu, running for the Salihorsk Town Council, as well as the candidate’s campaign team activist Andrus Tychyna, were threatened with violence by observers, representing the Union of Cossacks. The observers also used foul language and ordered the activists to leave the polling station. Meanwhile, the incident was not stopped by the police.

After that, Andrus Tychyna addressed the election commission’s chair with a claim against the presence of a pro-state candidate Valery Zainchkouski in the polling station, which provoked another wave of assaults, forcing the activist to leave the premises.

Aliaksei Valabuyeu’s campaign team members have drawn up a complaint to be submitted to the police and the local election commission, with a demand to cancel the registration of the observers, representing the Union of Cossacks.
