Police don't return money and computers to activists of 'Speak Truth' campaign
The activists of the Speak Truth campaign who had been seized their property on 1-19 May, have not been returned anything still.
Uladzimir Niakliayeu, the leader of the campaign, says that the police pretend that they had not seized anything.
'We are trying to restore the structure somehow, to return at least some things. People are not greatly intimidated: only some of them have left, but most are ready to continue the work. But it is rather difficult to fix the situation with the equipment. As they give us back nothing, simply nothing. They do not react to any our applications. They pretend that they had not seized anything from us and do not owe anything to us,' Uladzimir Niakliayeu said to RFE/RL.
Books, manuscripts and documents have been seized from Niakliayeu, other activists have been confiscated computers, phones, office equipment, without which it is impossible to continue work. Money has been seized from many people including Yury Varonezhtsau from Homel.

Meanwhile, information has emerged that the case initiated under the article 'Dissemination of false information about goods and services' against Speak Truth investigated by policemen from the Leninski District Police Department, was allegedly opened after a statement from a printing house from Smolensk. Allegedly the details of this firm had been placed on the postcards of Speak Truth campaign illegally. As said by the editor-in-chief of Tovarishch newspaper, Siarhei Vaznyak, who is one of the suspects in this case, the information about Smolensk firm which appeared on the postcards could be a planned provocation.
