The public association ‘Ecodom’ is suing the construction managers of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, arguing that they violated the Aarhus Convention by failing to provide evaluation of the NPP’s possible impact on the environment, Radio Racyja reports.
Today, on 16 June, Astravets Town Court considered the activists' claim. According to Ecodom’s head Iryna Sukhiy, there was no consideration on the merits. The court terminated the procedures and redirected the lawsuit to a local economic court.
