Homel: UCP member detained for T-shirt
A pro-democratic activist Uladzimir Niapomnyashchykh was detained in Homel for wearing a T-shirt with the inscription ‘For Belarus without Lukashenka’.
At the moment the member of the United Civil Party Uladzimir Niapomnyashchykh stays at the police department of Central district of Homel.
As Belarusian partisan was told by Vasil Paliakou, Chairperson of the Homel regional branch of the UCP, the oppositionist was n his way to the meeting of democratic activists of Homel. ‘Most likely it was a preventive detention, and the reason was the words on his T-shirt’, noted Mr. Paliakou noted.
By the way, V.Shukel, a police captain, is in charge of the case related to the ‘unsanctioned’ words on the T-shirt. This policeman is well-known to Homel oppositionists. It was Shukel who drew up reports of administrative violation against all participants of the solidarity rally in 2009 – Uladzimir Katsora, Yury Zakharanka, Piatro Kuzniatsou, Vasil Paliakou and Anatol Paplauny.
