On 30 July Stanislau Ramanovich, Chairperson of the Mahiliou branch of the Young Front, was sent to serve in the special task force unit near Minsk. The young man was recently operated, but the military enlistment office refused a deferment to him.
In a few weeks Ramanovich is to take the oath. Earlier he was a university student, but was expelled on political reasons, (officially 'for academic failure') and lost the possibility to have a deferment during the period of study.
At the same time, according to information of the Young Front, he has recently undergone an operation of his arm as he had a hygroma. Health experts say that he should be given a deferment for 3-6 months because of that. Physical activity is forbidden for him as the swelling might appear again.
