On 19 August, Minsk Savetski Court dismissed the claim by lawyer Tamara Sidarenka, demanding change of a measure of restraint of her defendant Mikhas Bashura, who, however, has been transported to Zhodzina pre-trial prison following the counsel’s motion.
Activist Mikhas Bashura was detained for three days on 6 August on ‘immediate suspicion’. On 9 August his detention was extended to 10 days. On 16 August the activist was officially charged with violating Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 380 of the Criminal Code – forgery.
