Astravets Court fined local UCP activist Mikola Ulasevich for disobeying fire inspection officials, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
The activist believes the trial is politically motivated and considers the verdict as the local authorities’ revenge for his criticism of the latest local elections results. In particular, Mr. Ulasevich has been trying to initiate criminal prosecution of the local district election committee members Zimnitski and Svila, who, according to the activist, rigged the election results in Astravets District.
